A day with Dior | Paris

My favorite day of the whole fashion month was the day of the Dior AW18 show. I directly flew from Milan to Paris to be in time for my first show fitting in Paris and it was my favorite fitting of all time because I got to wear the most beautiful Dior dress for the show. It’s always been a dream of mine to wear one of the tull dresses of Maria Grazia Chiuri and wearing it for the show was such an honor. As weather in Paris was intense with minus degrees and heavy cold winds, the team of Dior helped me to create a look around my dream dress to make it ready for the streets. I ended up selecting a striped body, high sling back Dior pumps, a slim cashmere coat and a dramatic hat as well as the coolest new J’Adior shades. As I’m a big fan of the latest Dior accessoires I also added quite some jewellery: Dior choker, necklace, rings and bracelets. A statement J’Adior bag and I was more than ready for the show (you can find all direct links to the products below). The whole Dior team has been so nice and helpful and it made me love the brand even more and I honestly couldn’t wait to see the show.

Afterwards I selected my favorite pair of sunglasses at the new Dior eyewear boutique at Avenue Montaigne (right across the street of The Hôtel Plaza Athénée ;)) and after trying all different kind of models, I decided to go with a pair of So Real Rise as the So Real model is an all time favorite of mine!

The next day we headed for a late breakfast and I was already full of anticipation for the show! It was a super cold day so I almost jumped out of the car to run to the show but Alex managed to capture some really cool shots as I really wanted to show you more of my outfit! I was so happy Alex also got an invitation to the show so he was able to take some runway shots to share with you. The whole location was absolutely amazing. The room was fully covered with ripped magazine covers, feminist slogans and protest posters, all from 1968. As soon as the show started, I was in constant ‘Awe’. Patchwork, flowerly dresses and shearling – 60s have never looked that good thanks to Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Afterwards I headed back to the hotel to take a few snaps of my Dior dress at on my balcony at The Hôtel Plaza Athénée and I was full with inspiration and happiness. When all events and meetings were done, Alex took me and my dream of a Dior dress out for dinner and we decided to celebrate this special day at Les Ombres, a restaurant with a super beautiful Eiffel Tour view (and even an outside terrace to watch the hourly light show!) – Thank you Dior for treating me like family and for making the show so special. xx Leonie
